NOUNS
Noun is the name of a person, animal, place, thing, idea or emotion.
EXAMPLE
Persons : Wife, husband, Dila, teacher, pilot
Places : Office, classroom, Malaysia, Felda Pemanis
Things : Cup, food, book, car, umbrella
Animals : Cat, monkey, fish, frog, ant
COLLECTIVE NOUNS
COUNTABLE NOUNS are nouns that we can count.Example : boy, teacher, pilot, student, husband .etc
UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS are nouns that we can't count.Example : hair, sugar, rice, water, air .etc
SINGULAR AND PLURAL NOUNS
Most countable nouns have singular had plural forms.Singular refers to one noun.Plural refers to more than one noun.
SINGULAR PLURAL
- file - files
- animal - animals
- baby - babies
- city - cities
- box - boxes
POSSESSIVE NOUNS
The possessive form of a noun is used to show ownership.A noun is possessive if a phrase can be changed to say that an item or idea belongs to someone or something.
Example : Alia's car is new ( the new car belongs to Alia )
